Rolling

He's been actually rolling from tummy to back for about 2 months, but here's some pix to finally document this fact.

All of these pix I'm uploading today have been long overdue (couple weeks); I've just had NO time!

Can you hold me?"

When we first brought Caleb home from the hospital, Essie wanted to be held all the time. Of course, when I was feeding Caleb, that wasn't always possible, so I used to find her substitutes.
"Can you hold me, Mommy?"
"Not at the moment, Essie, but maybe Daddy can hold you."
And when Daddy wasn't available, I'd look for other replacements, like Grammy or Papa, if they happened to be around at the moment.

So the other day when she asked me to hold her while I was feeding Caleb, there just weren't any other adult shoe-ins available.
"I'm sorry, Essie. Mommy can't hold you right now. I can hold you when I'm done feeding Caleb, though."
Knowing my M.O. of always finding a substitute holder, she responds with, "Maybe Abby can do it."

Don't Worry, Mom.

Abby: [Taking a bite of her pretzel stick] I know what I can do with these, Mom. I can spell my name.

Me: Well, you could, maybe, but you might have a little trouble with the Bs because of their rounded edge.

Abby: [Thinking about this for just a moment] Don't worry, Mom. I got it.

Me: Oh, okay.

Pretty smart kid, huh?
She gets it from her daddy.

Mother's Day

Love Essie's unmatching Snow White shoes...such a girl!

They're both holding bookmarks they made for me in Sunday school.

And yes, I know one more child is sadly missing...
He was sawing logs in the other room (darn baby!), and I forgot to get a pix with him later on. Oops.

Spring Park Day

I went picture crazy today at the park, but it was SUCH a beautiful day, and I had a lot of fun chasing my beautiful girls!

Love, love, love those kissably round cheekers. :)

As I'm taking a picture of Essie up high on the jungle gym, she decides she wants me to "catch" her; obviously, this wasn't feasible with camera in hand, so I had to tell her no; you can see my finger in the foreground, firmly telling her not to jump off!

And this was her face afterwards . . . ah. :-(

Blowing Dandelions . . .

. . . a little too closely . . .

. . . and then getting "kissed" by them. :)

Going on a hunt for "kinecones" (pinecones).

He's All Mine

Isn't he cute?

Oh . . . and Caleb is too. :)

My favorite :)
