Swings!

Tonight we went out to dinner at a little-known restaurant in Barstow called Idyll Spurs for Papa B.'s birthday. Both girls were anticipating the event. When we got there and sat down at the table, Essie said to me, "Is this the birthday time, Mama?" I respond with, "Yes, this is Papa's birthday party, Essie." She looks up and replies, "Where's the balloons?"
Guess you'd call it a stripped-down version of a birthday party with no BALLOONS! Hahaha!

Gotta say I love our little swingset. So great.

Sunday Dinner with Family

This was last Sunday, dinner with my side of the family, including my brother and his wife as well as my Aunt Conni and Uncle Bill.
I just love them...all of them. :)

Visiting Family

We don't get to see them near as often as we'd like, but when we got a chance to visit them (Eric's sis and bro-in-law) at their new home in Laguna Niguel on Memorial Day, we took it, and as always it feels like we can just pick up where we last left off. Nothing like family.

The girls loved their neighborhood park.

"What's this, Mom?"

And this is the view from the top of the park. Breathtaking.

Peruvian Hat

Uncle Carlos and Aunt Cari picked up these adorable hats for each of the kiddos from their last trip to Peru.

Dana Point

Aunt Cari's "shade" umbrella was the hit.

We made sand castles with tupperware (hey, it's what we had on hand at the last second).

You can't tell here, but we actually did go and stick our toes in the surf.

All in all, a fun little jaunt.
