Design-A-Mugs

These clever mugs were given to us by our good friend Vickie LoVasco (thank you, Vickie!!). She said she got them at Michael's, I believe, for a dollar or so. I'm not sure if she got them on sale...the price is so great!

The girls really enjoyed designing them, and there really are endless possibilities with them. Once your kids color up the four designs, you could create your own templates easily for years to come. Great idea.

I don't recommend submerging them in water unless you take the paper out. They don't seem leak proof. But other than that, they are a hit.

Things began to unravel when the girls discovered that some of these markers were scented.

It became a scavenger hunt of sorts. :)

Thank goodness they're washable markers.

I might add, mugs are just TOO much fun!

Box Fun

Now, every mom will tell you that boxes are great fun. This here is a Huggies box. They played with it all week, taking turns sitting in it, "driving" it around, and squeezing into it together.

Simple. Easy. Fun.

Days with the Cousins

These pictures are out of order. The second cousins came to visit BEFORE we went camping, but with the problems we had with our camera and software, such is the case.

My cousin and her boys (the second cuz's) came up for a couple days and visited us. We, needless to say, had a blast. I just love it when they come!

Template Change

Unfortunately, I had to change the template...again. There were too many glitches with the pyzam one. You couldn't scroll down, etc... So back to the drawing board. :)

Silent Bliss -- Sonogram Pictures to Come!

I am in a state of bliss tonight. I can't even move myself to write much. The adrenaline is still pumping through my veins; I am still riding its wave.

It's a boy.

I saw him on the sonogram today, and the ultrasound technician gave me an unswerving thumbs-up on the fact that we're having a little man.

Of course, I would have been excited and overjoyed to have a girl, too; I mean, who wouldn't want three little girlfriends around the house? But a boy!

Neither of us have said much to one another, but it's written across our faces...pure, unadulterated joy.

Roughin' It

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then I know I've said way too much here. I'm making up for lost time, I suppose. I really want to capture the essence of this grungy, outdoorsy thing we do every year, and I guess I've done that. I won't need to fill you in on all the details...the pictures kinda speak for themselves, for the most part.

Oh, I'm using a new camera (thanks to Eric and Mom for my birthday -- oh, and Jess for the advice on which camera to get -- love, love, love it). And the photo editor (Nero) is new, so some of the photos are really huge (so try not to get too close)...I didn't quite discover how to use it until I was well on my way to uploading many of the photos.

Probably the greatest buy yet...a Little Peoples tent camper set. It was adorable and such a hit!

This photo requires some explanation. This is a "bladder" of water which helped supply numerous showers for the tent camper. Trouble is, to get it to work, somebody had to lie on it.
