Christmas at Home

Christmas has definitely changed in our lives. With two little girls, the focus is now on them and what Christmas is like for them. We really want to reinforce the true meaning of Christmas with them. This year we baked a birthday cake for Jesus and wrapped a special ornament just for Him. No pictures of this, just the memories. Our camera also had an accident, so some of the pictures are from a not-so-good digital camera we used as a replacement. :)

We also had the distinct priviledge of meeting our precious niece. First niece yet and loving it! She is about 2 months old, but only around 10 pounds. Doing well, though, considering she was a premie and weighed not even 5 pounds at birth. We're guessing she's going to be a redhead...if her other redheaded cousins have anything to say about it.

Dreaming of a Wet Christmas

We spent the end of December, early January with Eric's family in Portland. I loved all the rainy weather we had, even though my mother-in-law thinks I'm certifiable. We, obviously, don't get much weather in So Cal, even less in the desert near us. Abby and Esther had a ball of a time. Esther, who had just taken up walking the day after Christmas, tore up Grandma and Papa's floor. Abby enjoyed playing with Grandma, who seems to have an abundant supply of energy. How does she do it? I'm always thinking. She especially treasured her cookie-making time with Gram. We really enjoyed our trip.
