Template Change
Unfortunately, I had to change the template...again. There were too many glitches with the pyzam one. You couldn't scroll down, etc... So back to the drawing board. :)

Silent Bliss -- Sonogram Pictures to Come!
I am in a state of bliss tonight. I can't even move myself to write much. The adrenaline is still pumping through my veins; I am still riding its wave.
It's a boy.
I saw him on the sonogram today, and the ultrasound technician gave me an unswerving thumbs-up on the fact that we're having a little man.
Of course, I would have been excited and overjoyed to have a girl, too; I mean, who wouldn't want three little girlfriends around the house? But a boy!
Neither of us have said much to one another, but it's written across our faces...pure, unadulterated joy.

Roughin' It
If a picture is worth a thousand words, then I know I've said way too much here. I'm making up for lost time, I suppose. I really want to capture the essence of this grungy, outdoorsy thing we do every year, and I guess I've done that. I won't need to fill you in on all the details...the pictures kinda speak for themselves, for the most part.
Oh, I'm using a new camera (thanks to Eric and Mom for my birthday -- oh, and Jess for the advice on which camera to get -- love, love, love it). And the photo editor (Nero) is new, so some of the photos are really huge (so try not to get too close)...I didn't quite discover how to use it until I was well on my way to uploading many of the photos.
Love to you...
Love to you...
Proof that boys are not the only ones who love dirt!
The story behind the wildflowers...Abby and Daddy picked them just for me on the way back from fishing. In't dat sweet?
Probably the greatest buy yet...a Little Peoples tent camper set. It was adorable and such a hit!
Crossing the "bridge" back from fishing -- yikes!
Love the background in the photo above...it depicts where we stay very accurately...magnificent!
Esther's actually talking in the photo above. This is one of her new conversation faces. Cute.
This photo requires some explanation. This is a "bladder" of water which helped supply numerous showers for the tent camper. Trouble is, to get it to work, somebody had to lie on it.
Hilarious.
Why am I posing with fish?

Camping
Hey ya'll (I really do talk like this sometimes),
We're leaving for camping tomorrow, so no posts for at least a week. We're hoping to have lots of good pictures from the trip, though!
Love to you all,
Sara

New Look
Do you like the new look?
Okay, so I found this really cool Web site where you can copy and paste blogger templates for free and change your blog instantly. It is so cool. It's http://www.pyzam.com/. They have literally hundreds of templates to choose from. I'm working on changing my other blog too. I just love to change things. :)

Blogging and Other Details
I've been out of it with blogging lately. Our computers have been gone, some stolen, others viciously attacked by viruses. So our new camera (Eric's wonderful birthday gift to me) isn't quite working with my old laptop, upon which I type. And you know me and pictures. They are my lifeblood! So we'll have to wait upon baited breath for the next pictures, wait until the new laptop gets here or the computer is back from the doctor.
I have been blogging, though, on a new blog, which I started just for a creative outlet, a place where I can go just for me. :) If you want to check it out, it's http://www.saracarmichael.blogspot.com/. Read at your own risk. I have been very hormonal lately. Below is a not-so-risky excerpt:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I felt the baby move inside of me today, really the first movements. What do they call that? The quickening? I was sitting at the computer, which I’ve been doing a lot lately, and I felt this fluttering roll, ever so slight. I thought for a second that maybe I had imagined it, but then it happened again. I’ve been a little anxious because I’m 16 weeks, almost 17, and I haven’t felt the baby move yet. Not really.
I begin to think of all the things I’m doing wrong. I’ve been sleeping on my back almost every night; I had more than six ounces of tuna this week; I haven’t been exercising much. Could something be wrong?
There’s always been little sensations, gas bubbles or whatever, here and there, even as early as 12 weeks, where you think maybe, but nothing definite.
Today was definite. It sent a little chill of thrill down my spine, little goose-bumps at the nape of my neck.
I hear David say,
For You created my inmost being;
You knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from You
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
Your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in Your book
before one of them came to be.
The Creator is looking down and smiling upon me.

starting from scratch
I don't know what the Lord's doing in our lives at the moment, but not only have we lost all the information on the two computers that were stolen from us, now our home PC crashed because of a virus, and all of the hard drive is gone...kaput...zero data. There are so many things on that computer, I cannot even begin to remember them. We've had it for almost our entire married life. Among the precious unrecoverables are wedding photos that we had scanned. Of course, we have a wedding album, but we had scanned all of our wedding photo proofs...all 300-and-some of them, and they are all gone now. It's a good thing that our memories are still in tact. I don't think THAT can be taken, at least not any time soon. :)
