Carmichael Corner: 10th Anniversary

Eric and I just celebrated our 10th anniversary last Thursday, and for this special occasion, we took a 4 day/3 night trip (sans kids) to Las Vegas. It was sooooooo relaxing and peaceful and rejuvenating. Have I mentioned relaxing? We had a great time, thanks to my parents and Ruby at home who held down the fort. Sadly, though, we forgot our camera. :( So these pictures are all a compilation of what we took with our Droids.

This was the BEAUTIFUL view from our amazing room. We stayed at the Suncoast Hotel in Summerlin. The first night had us in a totally different room (two queens/no view whatsoever), and they moved us the next morning to an upgrade room, (king/killer view). We felt like royalty!

Friday morning was an amazingly delicious brunch at the Cheesecake Factory. We split a bowl of clam chowder, cobb salad, and strawberry cheesecake. Mmmmmmm!

Saturday was a loooooong walk (about 4 miles, and if you know Vegas, you know that's long on so many levels) up and down Las Vegas Blvd. (aka the strip).

Two words: Wax Museum (did not go into it, but got a couple pix outside)

Inside the Venetian in these pictures. They've created a little city, complete with sky and canals. Like being in Venice (or as my parents tell me, locals call it Vinizia).

These guys are spooky. They are live statues. They stay completely still and only their eyes move. C-r-e-e-p-y.

Again, these are all inside. It looks like this all the time, day or night. Amazing, huh?

I took these photos because I just loved the architecture.

These two shots are outside of Treasure Island Hotel. Amazingly creative set construction.

This fountain is near Caesar's Palace. Makes you feel like you're in Rome.

These were taken inside of the Bellagio (where we parked). Live gardens and whimsical, Oz-like creations. Totally fascinating. As someone put it, it's like eye candy.
