Seaside Thrills

Almost every year we try to take some kind of a quick trip down to Seaside when we visit Eric's folks in Hillsboro.  The kids love the rides and the beach and merry-go-round.

53rd Avenue Community Park

This park is easily my kids' favorite park.  It has a little bit of everything.  First you play on a pretty incredible playground, which is equipped with their favorite, the spinning tower, along with swings, a jungle gym, a sand pit, large swinging disks, seesaws, and more.  Then you strip down to your bathing suite and go running head on into a circle of floor-level shooting water fountains.  Where were these parks when I was a kid?

Summer Fun

Almost every night or every other night was spent swimming in the blow-up water slide out in the back.  Nothing more fun than that, and then for a fun follow-up, Grandma's no-bake raspberry pie.  Mmmmm.
