Snow Day - Part I

We were SO blessed to stay at the home of some friends of ours up in Big Bear over Valentine's Day weekend. Such a wild blessing. They have a couple other homes and gave us this place to ourselves for the weekend. It was such a fun, relaxing weekend, and we made some good memories. We will be forever grateful.

Yes, that's Abby pulling Essie on a sled.

And down they go...

Grandma's Side Job

So besides being a busy court reporter/church secretary, here's Grandma B.'s other job. She watches my younger two in the morning (when she doesn't have a job scheduled) for a couple hours while I home-school Abby. Yeah, she's that cool.

Here's looking at you, Grandma!

Cousin Visit

My cousin Erin and her boys came for a couple days a little over a week ago.
It was a blast!

They created a dinosaur nest and
used big rocks as their eggs.
Then they became the dinosaur family,
even sitting on the eggs,
waiting for them to hatch.
Very creative, but even funnier to watch.

Pizza Fun!!!
(perfect for a slumber party, right?)

Erin read to all four of the older ones.

By the way, their ages are consecutive -- 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.

Caleb was especially enamoured with his boy cousins. He just kept staring at them. :)

The 24-hour Bug

This was the day after four of us got hit with the 24-hour bug in our household. I was one tired mama from being up all night with my girlies.

I can't tell you how THANKFUL I was for my mom.
She came over and stayed all morning (all the way into naptime), letting me get a couple hours of sleep. She had also had a bad night (for other reasons), so I was glad she caught up on some zzzz's herself.

Preciousness.

Grandma and Abby, then, worked on putting this puzzle together. Great substitute for home-school, which was NOT an option on this day.
