A Face Lift

The girls' room really needed a face lift. Going from one crib, to a crib and a twin, to a twin and a toddler bed, to two twins meant a mismatching bedspread nightmare. So here's their room after a few swishes of my magic wand. :)

Painted each of their letters to match their bedspread colors.

I painted these flowers on tag board to match their bedspreads,
then pinned them over the pink border.
I enjoy this kinda thing. Can you tell?

Found the butterfly and frog at Michael's and painted them to match.

A free-handed pink stripe replaces the "quilted" nursery border.

This started the theme. I love their flower fan we got for them over a year ago.

Camping -- Part I

Fishing, fishing, and more fishing!

And fish!

Dirt, dirt, and more dirt.
It's the one thing about all this you just gotta get used to.

The campsite

Rocks, rocks, and more rocks.

The kids really enjoyed playing with Uncle Nay-Nay

And of course, there's nothing better than being with Papa and Nana.

She still brings me wildflowers.
:)

Can't believe she's going into first grade.

I see my Grandma Gustafson's eyes in Abby above.

And of course, the S'mores.
