A Day with Horses

Our good friend Barb took our church youth (and their parents) to a local horse ranch where they introduced us to these amazing creatures and used them to glorify God.

This one is one of Barb's horses. His name is Duncan, and I've ridden him with Barb on the trail many times. He's such a sweet horse.

I had so much fun taking their pictures, and I had no idea they would come out so great.
Horses do not take bad pictures. They are just stunning.

I had lots of fun editing them...

Here's Barb.

They related how breaking in a horse is much the way God disciplines us...with gentle pressure, until we learn to submit our will to His.

This was the kids' favorite part of the day.

It's amazing, but she went willingly this time (remember the pumpkin patch??), even sitting on her own.

The next day, Abby informed me that when she grows up, she wants to be an artist, cowgirl, mama. :)

My dad kept asking if he could run the horse.
He finally got his wish. He was in heaven.
Such the cowboy. :)

Holdin' onto the saddle (above). For dear life!
